BOX 520 -:- PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA 94566 <br /> <br />December 8, 1981 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COMMENDING <br />POLICE OFFICER WILLIAM REYNOLDS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-412 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 15, 1981, you were summoned to a residence on Beechwood Way <br /> regarding a drowning; and <br /> <br />finding that the victim was an eighteen month old child, you called upon <br />your skills, training, and ability to function well under extreme pressure; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, you expertly commenced to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the <br /> youngster, even though no outward signs of life were detected; and <br /> <br />you continued your life saving efforts until the arrival of other emergency <br />service personnel and until life signs began to return to the child prior <br />to his being transported to the hospital; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the child, though in intensive care for several days, was later released <br /> to resume a healthy life. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> <br />does hereby commend you for your professional efforts and attention to <br /> <br />duty in the role that you played in saving the life of a young accident <br /> <br />victim. <br /> <br />~p~es R.
