CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-404 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />EXTENSION OF PICO AVENUE BETWEEN VINEYARD AVENUE <br />AND THE DEL VALLE PARKWAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of November 24, 1981, the City Council <br />received a proposed mitigated negative declaration <br />for plan approval for the extension of Pico Avenue <br />between Vineyard Avenue and the Del Valle Parkway, <br />consisting of the construction of a two-lane thorough- <br />fare and bridge over the Arroyo Del Valle and <br />installation of a 12" water line within the corres- <br />ponding right-of-way, and the extension of the Del <br />Valle Parkway roadway connection; and <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated November 2, 1981 and received the recommen- <br />dations of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on <br />the environmental impacts of the proposed development <br />plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br />accordance with the applicable state and local guide- <br />lines governing the preparation of mitigated negative <br />declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there may be significant impacts upon the environ- <br />ment, but that conditions of approval would render these <br />potential impacts insignificant. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the <br /> approval of the plans for extension of Pico Avenue <br /> between Vineyard Avenue and the Del Valle Parkway, <br /> consisting of the construction of a two-lane thoroughfare <br /> and bridge over the Arroyo Del Valle and installation <br /> of a 12" water line within the corresponding right-of-way, <br /> and the extension of the Del Valle Parkway roadway <br /> connections, subject to the following mitigating <br /> conditions: <br /> <br />Th~ final design for the project shall provide <br />adequate provisions to reduce and control any erosion <br />and sedimentation affecting the Arroyo Del Valle <br />during and after construction. <br /> <br /> <br />
