CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-16 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO ALAMEDA COUNTY <br />LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION REQUESTING <br />INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />NO. 99 PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT <br />OF 1977 <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of <br />1977, beginning with Section 35000 of the Government <br />Code, an affected city, as therein defined, may by <br />resolution adopted by its legislative body, make a <br />proposal for an "Annexation and Detachments" and <br />request initiation of proceedings thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is an "affected city" for <br />an annexation proposal which contains territory <br />proposed to be ~nnexed as part of said City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of said property has consented to this <br /> annexation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: This City Council, as the legislative body of an <br /> affected city, does hereby make a proposal for <br /> annexation of the area known as Annexation No. 99 <br /> pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 <br /> and does hereby request proceedings pursuant to <br /> such act. <br /> <br />Section 2: The annexation shall consist of the following <br /> change in organization: <br /> <br />That 231 acres, more or less, area adjacent <br />to the City limits commonly known as the <br />Kottinger Ranch, shall be changed from unincor- <br />porated Alameda County lands to land within <br />the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Said territory is found to be uninhabited and is <br />more specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein. <br /> <br />Section 3: This City Council does hereby declare that its <br /> reasons for proposing this annexation are: <br /> <br /> <br />
