WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-12 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING REVISION OF PLANS FROM <br />VORELCO OF CALIFORNIA AND DILLINGHAM CONSTRUCTION <br />FOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE, PIPE ASSEMBLY AND STORAGE <br />FACILITY ON JOHNSON DRIVE <br /> <br />on December 9, 1981, applicants presented their <br />project design to the Design Review Board for <br />approval to construct a vehicle maintenance, pipe <br />assembly and storage facility on a 2.75 acre site <br />located on the north side of Johnson Drive approxi- <br />mately 400 ft. north of its intersection with <br />Stoneridge Drive; and <br /> <br />the Design Review Board approved the application <br />and the City Council appealed the decision; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of January 12, 1982, the City <br />Council received a report ~ated~January 5, 1982 <br />from the Director of Planning and Community Development <br />together with a copy of the Staff Report to the <br />Design Review Board regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing at which <br />time applicant and any other member of the public <br />was offered an opportunity to present evidence <br />regarding this appeal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council expressed considerable concern about the <br /> screening of the site and its appearance. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council requested Vorelco of California, <br /> Inc. and Dillingham Construction to revise their <br /> drawings of the project to contain alternatives <br /> related to screening and building treatment schemes. <br /> <br />Section 2: Council finds that the Design Review Board's <br /> decision approving the subject application was not <br /> in accord with Section 2-10.04 as the screening <br /> of the project from the Stoneridge overpass and <br /> from other buildings was inadequate. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
