WHEREAS, MEREAS, WHEREAS, WtIEREAS, WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-6 RESOLUTION REITERATING CITY'S POSITION P~GARDING STONEY RIDGE AREA on July 28, 1981, the City Council reviewed its Sphere of Influence, including possible extension of its Sphere of influence to include the Stoney Ridge area; and the City Council determined that the Stoney Ridge area should properly be developed as part of Pleasanton, but that its development was premature at this time; and the City Council urged LAFCO to either place the Stoney Ridge area in its Sphere of Influence subjecting it to City of Pleasanton control over its timing of development, or establish a special zone for protective purposes for the area so that the Stoney Ridge area could remain in productive agricultural use; and LAFCO subsequently placed the Stoney Ridge area in Pleasanton's Sphere of Influence; and on January 12, 1982, the City Council was asked by the Save the Vineyards Group to reiterate its position concerning development of the Stoney Ridge area to the County Board of Supervisors. NOW, TttEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council reiterates its position that any development of the Stoney Ridge area be done under jurisdiction of the City of Pleasanton, that development of the Stoney Ridge area is premature at this time, and that the City Council opposes any development which would interfere with the productive use of the Stoney Ridge Vineyards at this time. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 12, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
