CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE <br />INDIVIDUAL AUTHORIZED TO MAKE RETIREMENT APPLICATIONS <br />TO THE RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR DISABLED EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton and its employees are members of <br /> the Public Employees Retirement System; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the State of California Public Employee's Retirement <br />Law requires that an application for disability retire- <br />ment be made for employees who become disabled from <br />the performance of their jobs and are otherwise <br />eligible to retire for disability; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the appropriate city official to make said application <br />for disability retirement for an employee is the <br />city manager. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby <br /> designates the city manager as the city official <br /> authorized to make retirement applications to the <br /> retirement system for disabled employees. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON JANUARY 12, 1982, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~ <br />ATTEST: ~. ~ <br /> <br /> ames R.
