CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />AL~DA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-32 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT <br />WITH P~LPH M. ANDERSEN & ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE <br />SERVICES IN FILLING THE POSITION OF CITY ATTOP~EY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Attorney, Harvey E. Levine, has taken a <br />position with the City of San Jose and will be <br />leaving the position of City Attorney of Pleasanton <br />effective February 12, 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />because of the short time available for recruitment <br />and the limited city staff, the assistance of a <br />professional recruiting firm is necessary to fill <br />the position of City Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council received a report from the City <br />Manager regarding the firm of Ralph Andersen and <br />Associates, who assisted the City in recruiting <br />its new Police Chief; <br /> <br />NOW, TtlEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TttE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the City Manager to retain Ralph <br /> Andersen & Associates to assist the City in the <br /> recruitment of a new City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to sign a Professional <br /> Services Agreement with Ralph Andersen and Associates. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 26, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Kephar~ <br />~~'~ lerk ' CER, ~YOR <br /> W~lke~r,C~iy~~ <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
