CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMIDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-30 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ONE YEAR EXTENSION TO RAP <br />APPROVED PROJECTS <br /> <br />WtlEREAS, <br /> <br />the City staff pursuant to Council direction is in <br />the process of drafting an ordinance to regulate <br />residential development according to population <br />benchmarks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this will have a direct effect on those projects <br />which have already received allocation under the <br />existing Residential Allocation Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RAP approval expires 18 months after issuance <br /> if a building permit has not been obtained; and <br /> <br />WttEREAS, <br /> <br />because of the effect of the economic conditions <br />on the home building industry, it is expected that <br />all projects with approval will not be under <br />construction within the time frame of the specific <br />approvals; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to honor those RAP approvals. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves a one year extension to the Residential <br /> Allocation Program approved projects which will <br /> expire in 1982, provided a letter is received from <br /> the developer stating he desires a one year extension. <br /> <br />Section 2: Any further extension of the RAP allocations <br /> will be done on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 26, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br />Mercer <br />None <br />Councilmember Kephart~~ <br />None <br /> <br /> KENNETH R.
