CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAmeDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-29 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AMEND}~NTS TO THE GROWTH <br />~NAGEMENT ELE~NT OF THE GENERAL PLAN (GP-81-10) <br /> <br />~IEREAS , <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton adopted a Growth Management <br />Element to the General Plan on March 6, 1978 contain- <br />ing goals and policy statements with respect to <br />regulation and control of residential growth in <br />the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />~IEREAS, the goals and policies in said element were implemented <br /> primarily by the Residential Allocation Program; and <br /> <br />WIIEREAS <br /> <br />changes in circumstances have required modification <br />of=the policies in the Growth Management Element and <br />in the..implementation measures used for regulating <br />residential growth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />recommended changes to the Growth Management <br />Element were prepared and heard by the Planning <br />Commission which made recommendations thereon and <br />were evaluated following public hearings held <br />thereon; and <br /> <br />~IEP~AS <br /> <br />the City Council finds that it is in the public <br />interest to modify the Growth l~anagement Element <br />of the General Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, TtlEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the amendments to the Growth Management <br /> Element of the General Plan as follows: <br /> <br />Delete reference to "Residential Allocation <br />Program" in implementation action ~1. Replace <br />with "growth management system". <br /> <br />Delete Policy ~8 referring to constant growth <br />according to the "E-Zero" growth rate. <br /> <br />Delete Policies ~t12, 13 and 14 referring to <br />the former "Urbanization Line" of the General <br />Plan and delete reference to the "Urbanization <br />Line" replacing it with "planning area" in <br />Policy ~15. <br /> <br />Delete reference to "Residential Allocation <br />Program" in Policy ~18 and replace with <br />"growth management system." <br /> <br /> <br />
