CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAmeDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-29 RESOLUTION APPROVING AMEND}~NTS TO THE GROWTH ~NAGEMENT ELE~NT OF THE GENERAL PLAN (GP-81-10) ~IEREAS , the City of Pleasanton adopted a Growth Management Element to the General Plan on March 6, 1978 contain- ing goals and policy statements with respect to regulation and control of residential growth in the City of Pleasanton; and ~IEREAS, the goals and policies in said element were implemented primarily by the Residential Allocation Program; and WIIEREAS changes in circumstances have required modification of=the policies in the Growth Management Element and in the..implementation measures used for regulating residential growth; and WHEREAS recommended changes to the Growth Management Element were prepared and heard by the Planning Commission which made recommendations thereon and were evaluated following public hearings held thereon; and ~IEP~AS the City Council finds that it is in the public interest to modify the Growth l~anagement Element of the General Plan; NOW, TtlEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the amendments to the Growth Management Element of the General Plan as follows: Delete reference to "Residential Allocation Program" in implementation action ~1. Replace with "growth management system". Delete Policy ~8 referring to constant growth according to the "E-Zero" growth rate. Delete Policies ~t12, 13 and 14 referring to the former "Urbanization Line" of the General Plan and delete reference to the "Urbanization Line" replacing it with "planning area" in Policy ~15. Delete reference to "Residential Allocation Program" in Policy ~18 and replace with "growth management system."
