CITY C~0NCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASAnTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />P~SOLUTION NO. 82-54 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NOT TO APPLY TO LAFCO FOR ANNEXATION <br />NO. 94 AND NOT TO INITIATE PREZONING OF APPROX- <br />IMATELY 185 ACRES WEST OF FOOTHILL ROAD AND SOUTH <br />OF DUBLIN CANYON ROAD <br /> <br />W]IEREAS, <br /> <br />Robert Schwerin and Woody Ersted made application <br />to the City of Pleasanton, to have~the Cit~ request <br />the Local Agency Formation. C6rnmission to authorize <br />annexation of their property; and <br /> <br />WttEREAS, on January 26, 1982, the City Council tentatively <br /> agreed to initiate annexation proceedings; and <br /> <br />~{EREAS, <br /> <br />staff has subsequently asked the Council to formally <br />adopt a resolution applying to LAFCO for annexation, <br />agreeing to exchange property tax revenues and to <br />initiate prezoning for ~mnexation No. 94; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />W}IEREAS, <br /> <br />a motion to approve a formal resolution requesting <br />the above failed; and <br /> <br />the City Council has determined that annexation <br />No. 94 as proposed would create irregular city <br />limit lines, an island of unincorporated land, and <br />would not be in the best interests of the public; <br /> <br />NOW, TttEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />P~SOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Determines not to apply to LAFCO for Annexation <br /> No. 94 and determines not to initiate prezoning of <br /> that property consisting of approximately 185 <br /> acres located in the southwest quadrant of the <br /> intersection of Foothill Road and 01d Dublin <br /> Canyon Road. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 9, 1982 BY TIlE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE <br /> <br />AYES Councilmembers - Kephart, }~ohr, and Wood <br />NOES Councilmember Butler and Mayor k rcer <br /> <br /> <br />
