WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />MEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />MEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY ~0UNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-51 <br /> <br />REESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />TO A DECISION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD AND <br />APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF VORELCO OF CALIFORNIA, <br />INC. AND DILLINGHAM CONSTRUCTION FOR DESIGN REVIEW <br />APPROVAL OF A VEHICLE MAINTENANCE, STORAGE, AND <br />PIPE ASSEMBLY FACILITY ON A 2.75 ACRE SITE ON THE <br />NORTH SIDE OF JOHNSON DRIVE NEAR ITS INTERSECTION <br />WITH STONERIDGE DRIVE <br /> <br />Vorelco of California, Inc. and Dillingham Construction <br />applied to the Design Review Board for approval of <br />a vehicle maintenance, storage and pipe assembly <br />facility consisting of two structures totalling <br />20,220 sq. ft. and an open storage area on a 2.75 <br />acre site on the north side of Johnson Drive <br />approximately 400 feet north of its intersection <br />with Stoneridge Drive; and <br /> <br />the Design Review Board approved the application <br />at its meeting of December 9, 1981; and <br /> <br />the City Council appealed the decision of the <br />Design Review Board; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of January 12, 1982, the City <br />Council held a public hearing and reviewed testimony <br />regarding the application; and <br /> <br />Council felt the applicants should present an <br />alternate screening plan for the project and the <br />matter was continued to February 9, 1982; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 9, 1982, the City <br />Council received a report from the Director of <br />Planning and Community Development together with a <br />copy of previous reports to the Council and the <br />Design Review Board regarding this matter; and <br /> <br />a public hearing was held at which time applicant <br />and any other member of the public was offered an <br />opportunity to present evidence regarding this <br />appeal; and <br /> <br />based on the Initial Environmental Study, a mitigated <br />negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br />February 9, 1982; <br /> <br /> <br />
