CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-111 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN <br />CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT RECORDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />Government Code §34090 permits the destruction of <br />certain dated city records with the approval of <br />the City Council and the written consent of the <br />City Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received a report indicating <br />the material proposed to be destroyed and finds <br />that they are no longer required and can legally <br />be destroyed; <br /> <br />NOW, TIIREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the destruction of the <br /> following records: <br /> <br />Pre-employment psychiatric reports for personnel <br />hired by the Police Department, greater than <br />two years old. <br /> <br />2. Pre-employment polygraph operator reports for <br /> personnel hired by the Police Department, <br /> greater than two years old. <br /> <br />Complaints and investigative materials associated <br />with allegations of police misconduct or <br />personnel inquiry which are directly related <br />to events that are more than five years old. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Council directs the City Attorney to <br />review and give his written consent to the destruction <br />of the above-listed records prior to their destruction. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 23, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />aTTEST: z <br /> s R.
