CITY ~ NCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEAS~ fON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-131 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO TOM'S BACKHOE, <br />INC. FOR PETERS AVENUE UNDERGROUND, INSTALLATION OF <br />STORM DRAIN AND WATER MAIN, PROJECT NO. 82-8 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for Peters <br />Avenue Underground, Installation of Storm Drain and <br />Water Main; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code No. 37900, et seq., the Director <br />of Public Works and Utilities advertised for bids regarding <br />this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />bids were received on April 14, 1982, and it was determined <br />that Tom's Backhoe, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities, in his report <br /> dated April 14, 1982, recommended that said bid be accepted. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The bid of Tom's Backhoe, Inc., in the amount of <br />$203,344.00 for Peters Avenue Underground, Installation <br />of Storm Drain and Water Main, Project 82-8, is hereby <br />accepted by City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Tom's Backhoe, Inc. for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
