2.2 <br /> <br />The employee's authorization request shall be in the <br />following terms: <br />" Date: <br />You are hereby authorized and requested to deduct from <br />wages due me (and payable on each regular pay day) such <br />amount as which will total (each month) the current <br />amount of my (monthly) PCEA dues as reported to you by <br />the President of PCEA and to make such deductions for <br />each and every succeeding month unless and until I revoke <br />this assignment in writing. You are hereby authorized <br />and you are to pay the total amount deducted each month <br />to PCEA. <br /> <br />This assignment is voluntary. <br /> <br />Signature <br /> <br />Communication with Employees <br /> <br />Any representative of the PCEA shall give notice to the <br />Department Head when contacting City employees during the <br />duty period of the employees, provided that solicitation <br />for membership or other internal employee organization <br />business shall be conducted only during the off-duty <br />hours of all employees concerned. Prearrangement for <br />routine contact may be made by agreement between the PCEA <br />and the Department Head and when made shall continue until <br />revoked. <br /> <br />The PCEA may designate to the Personnel Officer, no more <br />than two representatives to discuss grievances with their <br />members. The PCEA representatives shall be allowed <br />reasonable time at the beginning or end of an employee's <br />normal duty period to discuss the employee's grievance. <br />This use of duty period time by either the PCEA repre- <br />sentative or the employee shall not unduly affect either <br />persons ability to complete their assigned duties. These <br />time limitations shall not be in effect during the con- <br />duct of formal grievance hearings. <br /> <br />Bulletin Boards <br /> <br />The PCEA may use portions of City bulletin boards under <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />(1) All materials must receive the prior approval of <br /> the Personnel Officer. <br /> <br />(2) All materials must be dated and must identify the <br /> organization that published them. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
