~EREAS, <br /> <br />WtlEREAS, <br /> <br />Wt{EREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-159 <br /> <br />SELECTION OF PROJECT UNDER AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />COMPETITION <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 25, 1982, the City Council <br />adopted Resolution No. 81-287 establishing an <br />Affordable Housing Competition; and <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton did advertise the Affordable <br />Housing Competition and is in receipt of two <br />applications, both of which have previously received <br />PUD approval; thus, an initial screening and joint <br />meeting with the Planning Commission is unnecessary <br />and contrary to the spirit of the program as it <br />would unduly lengthen the selection process; and <br /> <br />Section 2(c) of that resolution sets forth the <br />criteria to be following in the selection of the <br />affordable housing project; and <br /> <br />the City Council is in receipt of a report dated <br />May 6, 1982 from the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development describing in detail the two <br />projects submitted to the competition and relating <br />them to the established selection criteria; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council reviewed the proposals, considered the <br />recommendations of the staff, and also allowed <br />each contestant the opportunity to make a presenta- <br />tion on its project's behalf; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council selects PUD-81-29 ("Amador Meadows," <br /> CPK Associates, Homestead Development Company) as the <br /> project chosen under the Affordable Housing Competition. <br /> <br />Section 2: PUD-81-29 shall be exempt from the Growth Management <br /> Program provided a mutually satisfactory agreement <br /> can be reached concerning the guaranteeing of the <br /> affordability of the units, development time frame, <br /> and proof of ability to perform, all as has been <br /> indicated by the developer in his application and <br /> presentation to the Council. <br /> <br />Section 3: Provided the above agreement is reached, PUD-81-29 <br /> shall be accorded priority processing through remaining <br /> City review processes. <br /> <br /> <br />
