CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-166 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON TO REZONE APPROXI}~TELY 8.8 ACRES <br />ADJACENT TO VALLEY PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER TO THE <br />"PUD-HIC~DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on June 9, 1981, the City Council adopted a General <br />Plan amendment changing the land use designation <br />for approximately 8.8 acres of land located on the <br />north side of Valley Avenue adjacent and to the <br />west of Valley Plaza Shopping Center (4323 and <br />4365 Valley Avenue), which left the zoning on the <br />property out of conformance with the General Plan; <br />and <br /> <br />WtlEKEAS, <br /> <br />subsequently the Planning Comm_ission initiated a <br />rezoning of the area to the "PUD-High Density <br />Residential" District; and <br /> <br />WtlEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 28, 1982, the Planning <br />Commission considered Case RZ-82-7, the application <br />of the City of Pleasanton to rezone the above-described <br />area from the "A" (Agricultural) and "R-1-6500" <br />(Single-family Residential) Districts to the "PUD" <br />(Planned Unit Development) High Density Residential <br />District; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission adopted Resoluti6n 2170 <br />recommending approval of the above rezOning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council received a staff report dated lIay <br />17, 1982 from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; and <br /> <br />~REAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the proposed rezoning; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Denies the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to rezone approximately 8.8 acres of land located <br /> on the north side of Valley Avenue adjacent and to <br /> the west of the Valley Plaza Shopping Center (4323 <br /> and 4365 Valley Avenue) from the "A" (Agricultural) <br /> and "R-1-6500"(Single-family Residential) Districts <br /> to the"PUD-High Density Residential" District. <br /> <br /> <br />
