CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-166 RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO REZONE APPROXI}~TELY 8.8 ACRES ADJACENT TO VALLEY PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER TO THE "PUD-HIC~DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT" WHEREAS, on June 9, 1981, the City Council adopted a General Plan amendment changing the land use designation for approximately 8.8 acres of land located on the north side of Valley Avenue adjacent and to the west of Valley Plaza Shopping Center (4323 and 4365 Valley Avenue), which left the zoning on the property out of conformance with the General Plan; and WtlEKEAS, subsequently the Planning Comm_ission initiated a rezoning of the area to the "PUD-High Density Residential" District; and WtlEREAS, WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 28, 1982, the Planning Commission considered Case RZ-82-7, the application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone the above-described area from the "A" (Agricultural) and "R-1-6500" (Single-family Residential) Districts to the "PUD" (Planned Unit Development) High Density Residential District; and the Planning Commission adopted Resoluti6n 2170 recommending approval of the above rezOning; and WHEREAS, the City Council received a staff report dated lIay 17, 1982 from the Director of Planning and Community Development; and ~REAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the proposed rezoning; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Denies the application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone approximately 8.8 acres of land located on the north side of Valley Avenue adjacent and to the west of the Valley Plaza Shopping Center (4323 and 4365 Valley Avenue) from the "A" (Agricultural) and "R-1-6500"(Single-family Residential) Districts to the"PUD-High Density Residential" District.
