CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALA}~DA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-214 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1982-83 CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />OPERATING BUDGET <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Manager presented to the City Council a <br />Proposed Operating Budget; and <br /> <br />~tEREAS, <br /> <br />meetings were held on May 25 and June 7, 1982 at <br />which the proposed budget was reviewed and public <br />hearings were held to afford the public the opportunity <br />to speak; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Manager indicated that the Operating Budget <br />may need to be amended after the State Budget is <br />adopted and the level of State subventions is <br />established; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Manager also indicated that except for <br />some of the public works inspector positions, the <br />proposed 18.25 additional positions will not be <br />filled until after the impacts of the proposed <br />State cutbacks in State subventions are resolved; <br />and <br /> <br />~EREAS, <br /> <br />Council reviewed the report of the Director of <br />Finance dated June 9, 1982; <br /> <br />NOW, THEP~FOKE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves and adopts the 1982-83 Operating Budget <br />as presented with the understanding that amendments <br />may be necessary after the State Budget is adopted. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 22, 1982 BY TIIE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, l~ercer, Wood and Vice <br /> Mayor Mohr <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> Brian W.
