CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAj~DA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-20~ <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR RESURFACIrIG <br />VARIOUS CITY STP~ETS, PROJECT NO. 82-4, TO PIAZZA <br />CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br /> <br />WtlEREAS , <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for <br />resurfacing various city streets, Project No. 82-4; <br />and <br /> <br />~.~iEREAS <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />~alEREAS <br /> <br />bids were reviewed by the City Council on June 22, <br />1982; and <br /> <br />WtlEREAS <br /> <br />the bid of Piazza Construction Company, in the <br />amount of $192,807.77 was determined to be the <br />lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Piazza Construction Company be <br />accepted; and <br /> <br />~IEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are <br /> $250,000.00; <br /> <br />NOW, TttEP~FORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTOr] <br />F~SOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Piazza Construction Company, in the <br /> amount of $192,807.77, for resurfacing various <br /> city streets, Project rio. 82-4, is hereby accepted <br /> by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Piazza Construction Company for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />TtlIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 22, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Brandes, ~ercer, Wood and Vice ~ayor Mohr <br /> <br /> <br />
