CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-230 <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT DEED FROM WARREN M. ANNIS AND <br />FANNIE L. ANNIS, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE PICO <br />AVENUE EXTENSION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton, Public Works Department, has <br />succeeded in acquiring, on behalf of the City of <br />Pleasanton, a parcel of land from Warren M. Annis <br />and Fannie L. Annis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this land is necessary for the construction of Pico <br /> Avenue extension; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the documents and finds everything to <br /> be in order including the purchase price; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at their meeting of July 13, 1982, the City Council reviewed <br />a report from the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br />indicating that the acceptance of this Grant Deed is in <br />the public interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Certificate <br />of Acceptance of Real Property for the Grant Deed from <br />Warren M. Annis and Fannie L. Annis to the City of <br />Pleasanton for purposes of constructing Pico Avenue <br />extension and authorizing the recording of these documents. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes staff to deposit $2,241.00 into escrow for <br /> the purchase of said property. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the <br /> Real Property Purchase Contract. <br /> <br />Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JULY 13, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />- Brandes, Fercer, Kohr, Wood and <br /> <br /> <br />
