CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALA}~DA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-250 <br /> <br />P~SOLUTION AWARDING THREE-YEAR CONTRACT FOR <br />INDEPENDENT AUDIT TO GIELOW & LAJALA <br /> <br />~IEREAS, <br /> <br />the agreement with Bray, Burke, Waterman, Cockrill <br />and Carter for independent audit of the City's <br />financial records expired with the 1980-81 fiscal <br />year audit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has requested proposals from three firms <br />based on their experience and credentials in <br />auditing public sector entities; and <br /> <br />WtIEREAS , <br /> <br />after a review of the proposals from Bray, Burke, <br />Waterman, Cockrill & Carter, Peat, Uarwich, l~itchell <br />& Company, and Gielow & Lajala, it is the staff's <br />recommendation that the firm of Gielow & Lajala, <br />as the lowest bidder, should be awarded the three- <br />year contract for audit services; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />P~SOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: The bid of Gielow & Lajala, in the amount of <br /> $43,800, for auditing the financial records of the <br /> City of Pleasanton, is determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a three- <br /> year contract with Gielow & Lajala for the independent <br /> auditing of the City's financial records. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />TtIIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JULY 13, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Uercer, l%ohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Pe~e~rr~. kacDonald,~ity~torney <br /> <br /> <br />
