CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALamEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-289 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SETTING SPECIAL HEARING FOR <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING APPLICANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has indicated <br />strong concern regarding the lack of new affordable <br />housing being constructed in the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council by Resolution No. 81-287 adopted on <br />August 25, 1981 established an affordable housing <br />competition for the City of Pleasanton for 1981-82; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on May 11, 1982, after a hearing, Amador Meadows, <br />a project proposed by CPK Associates, was selected <br />as the winning project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />ithas since come to the attention of the City Council <br />that, through a misunderstanding, one of the proposed <br />projects in the affordable housing competition, the <br />Quail Creek Project proposed by developer Ed Parrish, <br />was not considered at the May, 1982 hearing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is the Council's desire to provide the Quail Creek <br />Project with a fair opportunity to compete for the <br />benefits made available by the affordable housing <br />competition; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: On September 14, 1982 at 5:00 p.m., the City Council <br /> will hold a special hearing to compare the Quail Creek <br /> Project to the Amador Meadows Project. <br /> <br />Section 2: The purpose of the hearing shall be to determine if <br /> the Quail Creek Project would have won the affordable <br /> housing competition on May 11, 1982. <br /> <br />Section 3: If the Council shall find that the Quail Creek <br /> Project would have won the affordable housing compe- <br /> tition, then the Quail Creek Project shall receive <br /> the same status and benefits as specified in <br /> Resolution No. 81-287. <br /> <br />Section 4: The original winning project, the Amador ~eadows <br /> Project, shall retain its status as winning project, <br /> and the benefits associated therewith, no matter what <br /> <br /> <br />
