CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-308 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR AFLADOR <br />PARK IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. ~2-10, AND AUTHORI- <br />ZATIQN TO APPLY FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br />improvement of Amador Community Park, Project No. <br />82-10; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et <br />seq., the City Engineering Services Division <br />advertised for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 10, <br /> 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bids submitted were in excess of the amount <br />estimated for this project and staff feels it is <br />necessary to make alternative arrangements for <br />funding this project as designed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes application for, and commitment of, <br /> $4,127 from Roberti-Z'Berg block grant funds for <br /> Amador Park Improvements and authorizes Dolores <br /> Bengtson to execute the necessary documentation. <br /> <br />Section 2: Commits the $5,000 Simpson Family donation to <br /> the Amador Park Project. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> Increases the appropriation for current Amador <br />Park Project by $42,000 and reduces the 1982-83 <br />budgeted amount of $200,000 for Amador Park Improvements <br />to $158,000. <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br /> The bid of Deetz Construction Company, in the <br />amount of $124,909.65, for the Amador Park Improvements, <br />Project No. 82-10, is hereby accepted by the City <br />Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 5: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Deetz Construction Company for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
