CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-308 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR AFLADOR PARK IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. ~2-10, AND AUTHORI- ZATIQN TO APPLY FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Amador Community Park, Project No. 82-10; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 10, 1982; and WHEREAS, the bids submitted were in excess of the amount estimated for this project and staff feels it is necessary to make alternative arrangements for funding this project as designed; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Authorizes application for, and commitment of, $4,127 from Roberti-Z'Berg block grant funds for Amador Park Improvements and authorizes Dolores Bengtson to execute the necessary documentation. Section 2: Commits the $5,000 Simpson Family donation to the Amador Park Project. Section 3: Increases the appropriation for current Amador Park Project by $42,000 and reduces the 1982-83 budgeted amount of $200,000 for Amador Park Improvements to $158,000. Section 4: The bid of Deetz Construction Company, in the amount of $124,909.65, for the Amador Park Improvements, Project No. 82-10, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 5: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Deetz Construction Company for the improvements specified above. Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
