CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 82-376 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO DON <br />PHILLIPS CONSTRUCTION, I~YC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />PUMP HOUSE BUILDINGS, PROJECT NO. 82-5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for <br />construction of pump house buildings, Project ~Io. <br />82-5; and <br /> <br />I~]IEREAS <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />~EREAS, <br /> <br />bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 28, <br />1982; and <br /> <br />W~EREAS <br /> <br />the bid of Don Phillips Construction, Inc., in <br />the amount of $24,532.56 was determined to be the <br />lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Don Phillips Construction, Inc. be <br />accepted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the available funds to complete this project are <br />$22,000.00, therefore, it is necessary to authorize <br />an additional appropriation of $4,000 to cover the <br />estimated contract cost and a small amount for <br />contingencies; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Don Phillips Construction, Inc., in <br /> the amount of $24,532.56, for construction of pump <br /> house buildings, Project No. 82-5, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible <br /> bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Don Phillips Construction, Inc. for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> Authorizes an additional appropriation of $4,000 <br />for this project to cover the estimated contract cost <br />and a small amount for contingencies. <br /> <br /> <br />
