CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-387 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REFUND TO AMERICAN AND <br />NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUES FOR FUNDS ADVANCED FOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO SPORTS PARK, PHASE Ill <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Resolution No. 81-18, the American and <br />National Little Leagues agreed to contribute a <br />total of $17,000, to be shared equally, towards <br />the field improvements for the Sports Park, Phase <br />III; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it was deemed appropriate by the City Council to <br />relieve the Little Leagues from their obligation <br />to pay this sum and the $17,000 was to be appropriated <br />from the Neighborhood Park Fund; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate to refund to each Little League <br /> those funds already paid on account; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Rescinds Section 2 of Resolution 81-18. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes a refund to each Little League of <br /> those monies paid toward field improvements. The <br /> Director of Finance is instructed to prepare a <br /> check in the amount of $9,699.00 payable to the <br /> National Little League, which includes a refund of <br /> their interest incurred, and a check in the sum of <br /> $2,833.33 payable to the American Little League. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 28, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES <br /> <br />NOES <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmembers <br />Mayor Butler <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br /> Walker, City <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> MacDonald, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
