CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 82-418 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO BALANCO <br />CORPORATION FOR IMPROVEMENTS OF PETERS AVENUE AT <br />ROSE AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 82-17 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br /> improvement of Peters Avenue at Rose Avenue, <br /> Project No. 82-17; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on October 26, <br /> 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of Balanco Corporation, in the amount of <br />$31,884.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br />bid; and <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Balanco Corporation be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Balanco Corporation, in the amount of <br /> $31,884.00, for improvements of Peters Avenue at <br /> Rose Avenue, Project No. 82-17, is hereby accepted <br /> by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Balanco Corporation for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 26, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> y Clerk ~'~PPROVED AS 0 ORM: <br /> Peter D.
