CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 82-415 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ALCAL <br />ROOFING & INSULATION FOR REROOFING THE PLEASANTON <br />CIVIC CENTER BUILDING ArID THE AMADOR PARK AQUATIC <br />CENTER SNACK BAR, PROJECT NO. 82-16 <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for reroofing <br />the Pleasanton Civic Center Building and the Amador <br />Park Aquatic Center Snack Bar, Project No. 82-16; and <br /> <br />W~EREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />~$EREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on October 26, <br /> 1982; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of Pacific Coast Building Products, dba Alcal <br />Roofing & Insulation, San Ramon, California, in <br />the amount of $11,427.00 was determined to be the <br />lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Alcal Roofing & Insulation be <br />accepted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the available funds to complete this project are <br />$6,000.00, therefore in order to go ahead with this <br />project it is necessary to appropriate an additional <br />$5,427.00; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Pacific Coast Building Products, dba Alcal <br /> Roofing & Insurlation, San Ramon, California, in <br /> the amount of $11,427.00, for reroofing the Pleasanton <br /> Civic Center building and the Amador Park Aquatic <br /> Center snack bar, Project No. 82-16, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible <br /> bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br />with Alcal Roofing & Insulation for the improvements <br />specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> Increase the appropriation for Project 82-16 by <br />$5,427.00, which funds are to be applied to the City's <br />Support Services, Building Maintenance Fund. <br /> <br /> <br />
