CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 82-414 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO STEINY <br />AND COMPANY, INC. FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION, <br />SANTA RITA ROAD AND MOHR AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 82-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for traffic <br />signal installation, Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue, <br />Project No. 82-6; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />bids were reviewed by the City Council on October 26, <br />1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the bid of Steiny and Company, Inc., Vallejo, California, <br />in the amount of $77,735.00 was determined to be <br />the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Steiny and Company, Inc. be accepted; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the available funds to complete this project are $63,360.00, <br />therefore it is necessary to appropriate an additional <br />$14,375.00 from the City's Section 2107 Gas Tax; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Steiny and Company, Inc., Vallejo, <br /> California, in the amount of $77,735.00, for traffic <br /> signal installation, Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue, <br /> Project No. 82-6, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Steiny and Company, Inc. for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: The appropriation for Project 82-6 shall be <br /> increased by $14,375.00, which funds are to be obtained <br /> from the City's Section 2107 Gas Tax. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
