W}IEREAS, <br /> <br />WF, EREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />~E~AS <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />WtlEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-409 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 1983 GROWTH MANAGEMENT <br />PROGRAM TARGET NUMBER OF DWELLING UNITS TO BE <br />CONSTRUCTED AND OTHER PARAMETERS <br /> <br />the Growth Management Program requires the yearly <br />setting of a target number for residential dwelling <br />units to be constructed, the number set aside for <br />lower income units, those units available to <br />smaller projects, as well as establishing the <br />guidelines for the yearly selection of smaller <br />projects; and <br /> <br />the City Council has received a staff report <br />containing recormmendations for the Growth Management <br />Program parameters requiring yearly determination <br />by the City Council; and <br /> <br />pursuant to the Growth Management Program Ordinance, <br />a public hearing was held at which public testimony <br />was heard considering these matters; and <br /> <br />the City Council has considered the General Plan <br />growth rate policy, the number of units approved <br />in long-term agreements, previously authorized but <br />undeveloped units, prior years' authorized units, <br />and the comments received at the public hearing; <br />and <br /> <br />the development experience in Pleasanton to date <br />indicates that at least 200 RAP and/or GMP units <br />presently approved will not be constructed prior <br />to 1986 and/or that there will be a lag in the <br />construction of approved units such that a similar <br />number of units may be under construction but not <br />yet completed; and <br /> <br />50 units formerly authorized as part of the lower <br />income housing set-aside are now available for <br />allocation for market rate projects; and <br /> <br />the City Council finds its determinations listed <br />below meet the General Plan goals and policies; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That 483 dwelling units be set as the 1983 <br /> target number of units desired to be constructed. <br /> <br /> <br />
