CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-431 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN <br />CITY RECORDS UPON WRITTEN CONSENT OF CITY ATTO~]EY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §34090, certain public <br />records may be destroyed upon approval of the City <br />Council and the written consent of the City Attorney; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />tape recordings of the Planning Commission, Design <br />Review Board and Board of Adjustment meetings which <br />are no longer required, are not required to be retained <br />by State law, and are two years old or older, may be <br />destroyed pursuant to §34090; and <br /> <br />WItEREAS, <br /> <br />Council has determined that the above-described <br />tape recordings which are two years old or older <br />and which are not required may be destroyed now and <br />in the future upon the written consent of the City <br />Attorney without going before the Council each time; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the destruction of Planning Commission, <br /> Design Review Board and Board of Adjustment meeting <br /> tape recordings which are two years old or older <br /> upon the written consent of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the continuing destruction of Planning <br /> Commission, Design Review Board and Board of <br /> Adjustment meeting tape recordings as they become <br /> two years old or older upon review and written consent <br /> of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 26, <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Peter D.
