W~,EREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, W}iEREAS, ~E~AS, ~E~AS, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-425 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED EOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON the City of Pleasanton has been operating under a Rousing Element adopted in 1976; and the revised draft Housing Element meeting the requirements of Government Code §65583 and presently existing guidelines has been prepared, incorporating 1980 census data and including updated implementation programs, said revised draft Housing Element having been recommended for approval by the planning staff and Planning Commission following public hearings thereof; and the purpose of the Housing Element is to evaluate existing and projected community housing needs and to offer a workable housing program to meet said needs; and at its meeting of October 26, 1982, the City Council considered comments dated December 31, 1980 from the State Department of Housing and Community Development; and at its meeting of October 26, 1982, the City Council considered a report, together with attachments, from the Director of Planning and Community Develop- ment regarding the proposed Housing Element; and a public hearing was held with respect to the proposed Housing Element at which time any member of the public was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on said element of the General Plan; and on the basis of the Initial Study and staff and Planning Coum~ission recommendations, a Negative Declaration was adopted; and changes to Tables 2 and 3 of the revised draft Housing Element were recon~nended by staff, and changes to item 24 of the Housing Program Summary was recommended by the Housing Authority, all of which were recommended for approval by the Planning Commission; and
