CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-450 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO <br />SEND LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING TO CALTRANS RE <br />CONTRIBUTION OF MATCHING FUNDS FOR WEST LAS POSITAS <br />OVERCROSSING IN LIEU OF PREVIOUS ARRANGEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has entered into an agreement with Caltrans <br />for the construction of an overcrossing for West <br />Las Positas Boulevard at Interstate 680; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />since entering into the agreement for funding this <br />construction, the State has been advised of the <br />availability of Federal Interstate Highway funds <br />for the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />by correspondence dated November 8, 1982, Caltrans <br />has indicated its willingness to use these Federal <br />Interstate Highway funds if the City agrees to <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council reviewed the report of the Director of <br /> Public Works and Utilities regarding this matter; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Authorizes the Director of Public Works to <br />transmit a Letter of Understanding to Caltrans <br />expressing the City's willingness to contribute <br />the matching funds ($202,300) for this project in <br />lieu of previous arrangements. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 9, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
