CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOR~]IA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-449 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />NECESSARY POND RESTORATION OF SAN FRANCISCO WATER <br />DEPARTMENT PROPERTY, AUTHORIZING CITY .MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE LAND USE PERMIT, AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIA- <br />TION OF $20,000 FOR SANITARY SEI^~R CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City's lease of City and County of San Francisco <br />Water Department Droperty for sewage effluent <br />ponding and spraying called for restoration of the <br />area to the condition it was before our use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />additional restoration work is necessary to comply <br />with the lease conditions which must be done now, <br />prior to the heavy winter rains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities, by his <br />report dated November 4, 1982, advised the City <br />Council that plans and specifications have been <br />completed for the required restoration work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in order to have the work completed before heavy <br />rains it is necessary to allow an informal bidding <br />procedure to save time; and <br /> <br />WttEREAS, <br /> <br />as a condition of apDroval of this Droiect by San <br />Francisco, the proposed Land Use Permit extension <br />will require the Dayment of a'monthly permit fee <br />of $500.00 per month, commencing retroactively to <br />April 13, 1982; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the plans and specifications for the <br /> restoration work required by the lease. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes comDletion of this work as an emergency <br /> expenditure pursuant to Government Code §37906. <br /> City Council declares that the public interest and <br /> necessity demand immediate exDenditure of these <br /> public moneys to safeguard life, health, or proDerty, <br /> specifically to prevent erosion and compaction <br /> which would destroy the viability of agricultural <br /> soils. <br /> <br />Section 3: Directs the staff to request quotes from all <br /> contractors in the area known to undertake Drojects <br /> of this nature in order to achieve substantial <br /> compliance with normal bidding procedures. <br /> <br /> <br />
