Warnick Director of Public Works City of Pleasanton 200 Bernal Avenue Pleasanton, CA 94566 Foothill Reservoir Dear Bob: In response to your request we are pleased to submit this proposal for pre- paring the preliminary and final design of the proposed Foothill Reservoir. PURPOSE The CDM report of December 1981, "A Water Distribution and Supply Study of the North Central and the North West Portions of the Lower Pressure Zone" identified water system improvements that will be needed in order to pro- vide adequate flows and pressures within the north central and north west as these areas develop. One of the most needed improvements identified in the December 1981 report is a reservoir at the Foothill site, see Figure 1. The recommended size of this reservoir is from 5 to 8 million gallons (mg); the larger the better. This site was analyzed by CDM in 1974 and plans for a 3.0 mg prestressed concrete reservoir were prepared. Land at the site was acquired by the City in 1979. SCOPE OF WORK In view of the above described conditions, CDM proposes to perform the fol- lowing services: Phase One Investigation Task 1 - Review Previous Information ing but not limited to, topographic data for the i a, geologic and soils data, and the 1974 design for a 3.0 mg concrete reser- voir.
