FILE ES99 5-12-80 DJWong/JHU 99.04:R4 <br /> <br />6.5 Should the.requirements of PG&E be such as to necessitate repairs <br />before Applicant can be notified or where PG&E determines that it is not <br />practicable for Applicant to make the necessary repairs, PG&E reserves <br />the right to make the necessary repairs or replacements at the expense <br />of Applicant, preserving as far as possible the available evidence of <br />the cause of failure. <br /> <br />EXCAVATION <br /> <br />7.1 Excavations shall be made to the depths, dimensions, and grade lines <br />necessary to construct the work as indicated by drawings. <br /> <br />BACKFILL <br /> <br />8.1 Rock-free backfill (native soil when suitable) shall be used to <br />provide a smooth bedding for the conduit. Backfill shall be made with <br />materials and methods which will meet requirements of applicable local <br />and governmental codes and ordinances. In absence of local codes, <br />backfill shall be compacted to at least 95% of maximum density based on <br />Test Method No. California 216-G, Part II and shall meet approval of <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />PRECAST ENCLOSURES, SPLICE BOXES, AND MANHOLES <br /> <br />9.1 Precast enclosures, splice boxes, and manho]es shall be in accordance <br />with the latest revisions of applicable PG&E standards. <br /> <br />9.2 Precast enclosures, boxes, etc., shall be installed as shown on the <br />applicable PG&E drawings and shall be installed to final grade wherever <br />practicable. <br /> <br />9.3 When ordering precast enclosures, etc., the notation "This Material <br />is Subject to Pacific Gas and Electric Company Inspection" shall appear <br />on the order and the latest revisions of applicable PG&E standards shall <br />be attached to the order. <br /> <br />Disk FILEOD, Job C <br /> <br /> <br />
