CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-474 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF <br />OLD HOPYARD ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a certain portion of Old HoDyard Road has become <br />unnecessary for present or DrosDective public street <br />use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is necessary for the City of Pleasanton to <br />vacate that Dortion of land pursuant to the <br />requirements of Section 8320 et seq. of the Streets <br />and Highways Code of California; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Pursuant to Section 8320 et seq. of the Streets <br /> and Highways Code of Califo~'~ia, the City Council <br /> hereby declares its intention to vacate a Dortion of <br /> Old Hopyard Road unnecessary for Dresent or prospective <br /> public use, said portion being an eighty(80) foot wide <br /> easement running from Johnson (Owens) Drive south to <br /> its intersection with Hopyard Road, (that area of <br /> Old Hopyard Road lying immediately easterly of the <br /> present Shell service station site located at the <br /> southeast corner of Hopyard Road and Johnson (Owens) <br /> Drive), more particularly described on Exhibit "A" <br /> attached hereto. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2: A public hearing shall be held on January 11, 1983, <br /> at 8:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers at 200 <br /> Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California at which time <br /> public testimony will be taken with re~ard to the <br /> City's intention to vacate the portion of roadway <br /> described above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 23, 1982 BY THE ~OLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr,Wood and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Peter n.
