CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-472 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />BE DESIGNATED AS AN "ELIGIBLE RECIPIENT" FOR <br />TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE 4 FUNDS <br />(RE: VALLEY WIDE TRANSIT STUDY) AND AUTHORIZING <br />CITY MANAGER TO SEND LETTER REQUESTING THAT <br />PLEASANTON BE DESIGNATED AS THE LEAD AGENCY IN <br />THE STUDY OF LOCAL TRANSIT NEEDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the provision of local transit services are of major <br /> concern to the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton wishes to conduct a study of <br /> local transit service needs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />funds for conducting such a study are available to <br />designated "eligible recipients" under Article 4 <br />of the Transportation Develooment Act; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Requests the City of Pleasanton be designated an <br /> "eligible recipient" for Transportation Development <br /> Act Article 4 funds. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to send a letter <br /> requesting that Pleasanton be designated as the <br /> lead agency in the study of local transit needs. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 23, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES <br /> <br />NOES <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br /> BTT~ST: ~ ~/~~E E. <br />~R~.'~Walker,'/C~ty Cle~ RT <br /> <br /> y oris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br />Mayor Butler <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> BUTLER, MAYOR <br /> <br />A~jROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> MacDonald, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
