CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-461 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CLOSING OF ~IN STREET <br />FOR CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING AND ~{ENDING THE <br />BUDGET TO REFLECT THE INCREASED OVERTIME COSTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Pleasanton Junior Women's Club is holdin~ a <br />Christmas tree lighting ceremony in front of the <br />police department on Friday, December 10, 1982, <br />beginning at 7:00 P.m. and ending approximately <br />8:00 p.m.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />as Dart of the ceremony ~rouDs will gather to sing <br />Christmas carols; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />because of the number of participants, the Junior <br />Women's Club is requesting that Main Street between <br />St. Marys and Division Street be closed to traffic <br />during the ceremony to ensure the safety of Dartici- <br />pants and spectators; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASe]TON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves the closing of Main Street between St. Marys <br />and Division Streets from 6:30 p.m. to approximately <br />8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves amending the budget for fiscal year 1982-83 <br /> to reflect the increased police overtime of 15 hours <br /> ($255.00). <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 23, 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> <br />~ George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Peter D. MacDonald, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
