CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 82-487 RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION OF THE DIOCESE OF OAKLAND FOR A GENERAL PLAN ~.~ENDMENT CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF APPROXIMATELY 13 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BERNAL AVENUE EXTENSION IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACKS FROM "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 13, 1982, the City Council received a proposed application from the Diocese of Oakland for a General Plan amendment to change the land use designation of an approximately 13 acre site located on the south side of Bernal Avenue extension immediately west of the Southern Pacific railroad tracks from "High Density Residential" to the "Commercial and Offices" District; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered a report, together with attachments, from the Director of Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed General Plan amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the General Plan amendment at which time any member of the public was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on said amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Denies the application of the Diocese of Oakland for a General Plan amendment changin~ the land use designation of approximately 13 acres of land located on the south side of Bernal Avenue extension immediately west of the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices." Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
