CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-487 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION OF THE DIOCESE <br />OF OAKLAND FOR A GENERAL PLAN ~.~ENDMENT CHANGING <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF APPROXIMATELY 13 <br />ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BERNAL <br />AVENUE EXTENSION IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE SOUTHERN <br />PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACKS FROM "HIGH DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL" TO "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 13, 1982, the City Council <br />received a proposed application from the Diocese of <br />Oakland for a General Plan amendment to change the <br />land use designation of an approximately 13 acre <br />site located on the south side of Bernal Avenue <br />extension immediately west of the Southern Pacific <br />railroad tracks from "High Density Residential" <br />to the "Commercial and Offices" District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council considered a report, together with <br />attachments, from the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development regarding the proposed General <br />Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect <br />to the General Plan amendment at which time any <br />member of the public was offered the opportunity <br />to address the City Council on said amendment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the application of the Diocese of Oakland <br /> for a General Plan amendment changin~ the land use <br /> designation of approximately 13 acres of land <br /> located on the south side of Bernal Avenue extension <br /> immediately west of the Southern Pacific Railroad <br /> tracks from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial <br /> and Offices." <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED DECEMBER 13, <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> 1982 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br />ROBERT E.
