CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-486 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF MEADOW PLAZA <br />ASSOCIATES FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT CHANGING <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF 5.8 ACRES LOCATED <br />SOUTHEAST OF WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD AND SANTA <br />RITA ROAD TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 13, 1982, the City <br />Council received a proposed application from <br />Meadow Plaza Associates for a General Plan amendment <br />to change the land use designation of a 5.8 acre <br />site located east and south of the Exxon Service <br />Station at the southeast corner of West Las Positas <br />Boulevard and Santa Rita Road from "Commercial and <br />Offices" to "High Density Residential"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council considered a report, together <br />with attachments, from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development regarding the proposed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br />was appropriate for the proposed General Plan <br />amendment and adopted Resolution No. 82-485 aDproving <br />the Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect <br />to the General Plan amendment at which time any <br />member of the public was offered the opportunity <br />to address the City Council on said amendment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of Meadow Plaza Associates <br /> (GP-82-9)to change the land use designation of a <br /> 5.8 acre site located east and south of the Exxon <br /> Service Station at the southeast corner of West <br /> Las Positas Boulevard and Santa Rita Road (see attached <br /> map) from "Commercial and Offices" to "High Density <br /> Residential." <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Council determines that this is one of <br />the three times in 1982 that the land use element <br />of the General Plan is amended as authorized by <br />Government Code 965631. <br /> <br /> <br />
