CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-100 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION QUITCLAIMING THE CITY'S INTEREST IN <br />A PUBLIC TRAIL EASEMENT WITHIN TRACT 6400 AND <br />ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF DEDICATION OF A NEW <br />PUBLIC TRAIL EASEMENT FROM LAUREL CREEK <br />ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of July 20, 1999, Council reviewed the staff report (SR 99:214) from <br />the Director of Public Works recommending that the City quitclaim a portion of an <br />existing public trail easement and in lieu thereof, accepting the offer of dedication <br />of a public trail easement in a new location; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this portion of the public trail easement is not required for public service, street or <br /> pedestrian purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of a grant of easement deed for a new public trail; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of this property for public trail easement purposes is in the public <br /> interest; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City quitclaims its right, title, and interest in and to that portion of an existing <br />public trail easement more particularly described in the attached Exhibit "A" and <br />the City Manager is authorized to sign, and the City Clerk to record, a quitclaim <br />deed to that effect. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />An easement from Laurel Creek Associates to the City of Pleasanton for public <br />trail purposes, is hereby accepted, and the legal description of which is attached as <br />Exhibit "B". <br /> <br /> <br />
