CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 83-546 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />A GENERAL PLAN ~{EN~ENT CHANGING THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION OF APPROXImaTELY 1.6 ACRES LOCATED <br />ON THE NORTH SIDE OF VALLEY AVENUE JUST EAST <br />OF TIlE HOPYARD SHOPPING VILLAGE FROM "~UBLIC AND <br />INSTITUTIONAL" TO "C~ERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />~EREAS <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 6, 1983, the City <br />Council received a proposed negative declaration <br />for a General Plan amendment changing the land use <br />designation of approximately 1.6 acres located on <br />the north side of Valley Avenue just east of the <br />Hopyard Shopping Village from "Public and <br />Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices"; and <br /> <br />I~HEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study ~ated'October 19, 1983 and received <br />the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br />Commission~ and <br /> <br />~.~EREAS <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />cormnent on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />WtlEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact ReDorts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed General <br />Plan amendment would not have any significant <br />adverse effects on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for a General Plan <br /> amendment changing the land use designation of approxi- <br /> mately 1.6 acres located on the north side of Valley <br /> Avenue just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village <br /> from "Public and Institutional" to the "Commercial <br /> and Offices" District. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoDtion. <br /> <br /> <br />
