CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-546 RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN ~{EN~ENT CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF APPROXImaTELY 1.6 ACRES LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF VALLEY AVENUE JUST EAST OF TIlE HOPYARD SHOPPING VILLAGE FROM "~UBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL" TO "C~ERCIAL AND OFFICES" ~EREAS at its meeting of December 6, 1983, the City Council received a proposed negative declaration for a General Plan amendment changing the land use designation of approximately 1.6 acres located on the north side of Valley Avenue just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village from "Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices"; and I~HEREAS the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study ~ated'October 19, 1983 and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission~ and ~.~EREAS a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to cormnent on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan amendment; and WtlEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact ReDorts; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan amendment would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for a General Plan amendment changing the land use designation of approxi- mately 1.6 acres located on the north side of Valley Avenue just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village from "Public and Institutional" to the "Commercial and Offices" District. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoDtion.
