CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 83-545 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />A GENERAL PLAN AMEN~!ENT CHANGING THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION FOR APPROXIMATELY 48.4 ACRES OF <br />PROPEPPY BELONGING TO THE PLEASANTON JOINT SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT FROM "SCHOOLS" TO "MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 6, 1983, the City <br />Council received a proposed negative declaration <br />for a General Plan amendment changing the land use <br />designation for five Darcels belongin% to the <br />Pleasanton Joint School District and totalling <br />approximately 48.4 acres from the "Schools" <br />to the "Medium Density Residential" District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated November 2, 1983 and received <br />the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the'opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the Droposed General Plan <br />amendment would not have any significant adverse <br />effects on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the Negative Declaration for a General Plan <br />amendment changing the land use designation for five <br />parcels belonging to the Pleasanton Joint School District <br />and totalling approximately 48.4 acres from the "Schools" <br />to the "Medium Density Residential" District. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
