CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 83-542 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT C~JNGING THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION FOR THE TIER 0F LOTS ADJACENT TO THE <br />WESTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PETERS AVENUE BETI~EN <br />ST. JOHN STREET AND BERNAL AVENUE FROM "HIGH <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "C~ItMERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 6, 1983, the City <br />Council received a proposed negative declaration <br />for a General Plan amendment changing the land use <br />designation for the tier of lots adjacent to the <br />western right-of-way line of Peters Avenue between <br />St. John Street and Bernal Avenue from the "High <br />Density Residential" to the "Commercial and Offices" <br />District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated October 5, 1983 and received <br />the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the .environmental impacts of the proDosed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the aDplicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />I,IHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed General <br />Plan amendment would not have any significant adverse <br />effects on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, TItEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for a General Plan <br /> amendment changing the land use designation for the tier <br /> of lots adjacent to the western right-of-way line of <br /> Peters Avenue between St. John Street and Bernal Avenue <br /> from the "High Density Residential" to the "Commercial <br /> and Offices" District. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
