CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-542 RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT C~JNGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR THE TIER 0F LOTS ADJACENT TO THE WESTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PETERS AVENUE BETI~EN ST. JOHN STREET AND BERNAL AVENUE FROM "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "C~ItMERCIAL AND OFFICES" I~HEREAS, at its meeting of December 6, 1983, the City Council received a proposed negative declaration for a General Plan amendment changing the land use designation for the tier of lots adjacent to the western right-of-way line of Peters Avenue between St. John Street and Bernal Avenue from the "High Density Residential" to the "Commercial and Offices" District; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated October 5, 1983 and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the .environmental impacts of the proDosed General Plan amendment; and ~HEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the aDplicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and I,IHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan amendment would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment; NOW, TItEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for a General Plan amendment changing the land use designation for the tier of lots adjacent to the western right-of-way line of Peters Avenue between St. John Street and Bernal Avenue from the "High Density Residential" to the "Commercial and Offices" District. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. -1-
