CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-540 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNA- TION OF APPROXI~ATELY SIX ACRES AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SANTA RITA ROAD AND WEST LAS POSITAS WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 6, 1983, the City Council received a proposed mitigated negative declaration for an amendment to the General Plan land use designation of approximately six acres at the southeast corner of Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard chan~in% it from "High Density Residential" to the "Commercial and Offices" District; WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial. StUdyda[ed October 19, 1983 and received the reconmendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the Droposed General Plan amendment; and ~EREAS the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance w~th the appliCable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of mitigated negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and WHEREAS the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated that there may be significant impacts upon the environment, but that conditions of approval would render these potential impacts insignificant; and ~EREAS the City Council finds that based upon the review of the Initial Study, and the testimony and docu- mentary evidence presented at the public hearing that there may be significant impacts on the environment, but that conditions listed in Section 1 below as mitigations render these potential impacts insignificant; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves a Mitigated Negative Declaration for a General Plan amendment changing the land use -1-
