CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOP~]IA RESOLUTION NO. 83-530 RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE INCLUSION OF THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY IN THE FO~TION OF THE COUNTY SERVICE AREA TO BE ESTABLISHED FOR THE PROVISION OF A VECTOR CONTROL PROGRAM I.~EREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County is processing an application to the Local Agency Formation Commission for the creation of a county service area for a county- wide vector (pest and rodent) control Dro~ram; and WHEREAS, the Board of SuDervisors has requested each city council to adopt a resolution of consent for the inclusion of its territory in the formation of the service area pursuant to Section 25210.10(a) of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, formation of the county service area shall be subject to ratification by special Dublic confirmation election of the County of Alameda, State of California, to be held on June 5, 1984, with the State of California Primary Election to be held on the same date; and I~IEREAS, the City Council finds that the public health, safety, and welfare of its constitutency will be Dromoted by the service area; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That this council approves and consents to the inclusion of all the incorporated territory of the City within the county service area to be established for provision of a vector (pest and rodent) control Dropram and to be ratified by a special confirmation election on June 5, 1984; and directs the City Clerk to file certified copies of this resolution with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and with the County Administrator.
