REAL ESTATE

September 29, 1983

Mr. Robert Okamura
Assistant Director of Public Works
City of Pleasanton
200 Bernal Avenue
Pleasanton, California 94566

REF: Water Service Study for East Pleasanton

Dear Bob,

I have reviewed the proposal by Camp Dresser & McKee,
Inc. for further study of the water system in East Pleasanton.

After reviewing that proposal I concur with its general
scope. However, I believe that two items which are indicated
as additional services should be added into the scope of work.
These items are the preliminary designs of the water system
improvements and the preparation of construction cost estimates.
Both of these items go hand in hand with the overall scope of
the study and the decisions which are necessary after review-
ing the study cannot be made without that information.

The fee allocation for 25% of the cost to the Mutual
Land Company property is reasonable. When you are satisfied
with the contract, we are prepared to forward our appropriate
share.

As with previous studies, the consultant should review
various stages of work with the property owners. Specifically
I look forward to meeting Mr. Fry prior to final submittal of
the study results.

Thank you for your efforts in coordinating this study.

Sincerely,

Art Dunkley

AWD/j c

SEp 2 9 1983

(415) 846-7000
