CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 83-484 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN FIXING SALARIES AND BENEFITS FOR MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON NOT INCLUDING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY AND REPEALING RESOLUTION N0. 82-411, AND AMENDING THE BUDGET ACCORDINGLY WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the establishment and designation of certain employees as management and confidential employees; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended salary ranges and supplementary benefits for the period October 1, 1983, through September 30, 1984, for management and confidential employees; and WHEREAS, the City Council has previously, by Resolution No. 82-411, adopted a compen- sation plan for the above employees, which resolution must now be repealed. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The salary ranges and supplementary benefits for the period commencing 0ctobeP 1, 1983, and ending September 80, 1984, shall be as set forth in Exhibit A attached hePeto and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. The salary ranges and supplementary benefits for confidential employees for the period commencing October 1, 1983~ and ending September 30, 1984, shall be as set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to include as a part of the total compen- sation, City payment of the employee share of the PERS (retirement) cost. Section 4. The City Manager is authorized to adjust salary levels including asso- ciated benefit costs within the ranges set forth in Exhibit A. Section 5. The 1983-84 Budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended accordingly. Section 6. Resolution No. 82-411 is hereby repealed. Section 7. Except as provided herein to the contrary the terms and provisions of this Resolution shall not effect the applicability of the Personnel Rules of the City of Pleasanton management and confidential employees who are not exempt from said Rules. Section 8. The salary and supplementary benefits set forth in this Resolution be the only compensation for the positions set forth in Exhibits A and B hereto and there shall be no right to receive benefits contained in any Memoranda of Understanding with the Cityts recognized employee organizations which are not included in the salaries and supplementary benefits set forth herein. It is the City Council~s intention that there shall be mutual excluslvity between the compensation plans set forth in this Resolution and the items contained in Memoranda of Understanding.
