CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-481 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INDICATING CITY'S INTEREST IN A <br />PORTION OF THE MISSION PARK SCHOOL SITE <br /> <br />~EREAS, <br /> <br />the Pleasanton Joint School District and the Murray <br />School District have indicated they intend to dispose <br />of certain real proDerty which they own and which is <br />now surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of October 19, 1983, the Park and <br />Recreation Commission reviewed all the parcels <br />being offered and determined that the only site of <br />interest to the City was the Mission Park School <br />site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />under the requirements of the Education Code, the <br />City has 60 days from the date of notification to <br />notify the district in writing of its intent to <br />purchase; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> The City Council hereby directs staff to notify <br />the Murray School District that the City has no <br />interest in purchasing the Stoneson School site and <br />to notify the Pleasanton Joint School District that <br />the City would like to enter discussions for the <br />trade of all or a portion of the Mission Park school <br />site for part of the City's undeveloped Dortions <br />of Mission Park. Such a notification would not <br />obligate the City in any way. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 25, 1983 BY THF FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />
