CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-465 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ASSIGNING ADULT CROSSING GUARDS AT <br />THE INTERSECTIONS OF BLACK AVENUE/HOPYAID ROAD <br />AND BLACK AVENUE/SA~ITA RITA ROAD AND ~MENDING <br />THE BUDGET OF THE POLICE DEDARTM~ENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of SeDtember 21, 1983, the Staff <br />Traffic Committee received requests for crossin~ <br />guards at the intersections of HoDyard Road and <br />Santa Rita Road on Black Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during the week of September 26, 198B, turning <br /> movements were measured at these intersections; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is the recommendation of the Staff Traffic <br />Committee that crossing ~uards be assigned to <br />above intersections; <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: The City Council hereby assigns two crossing <br /> guards on Black Avenue; one at the intersection <br /> of Hopyard Road and one at the intersection of <br /> Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The budget of the Police Department is hereby <br />amended by an appropriation of $5,808.00 to cover <br />the cost of the two new crossin~ ~uards. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 25, 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br />J~e~er D. ~acDonald,~iity~ttorney <br /> <br /> <br />
