CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-453 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND RELATED ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS AT <br />1-580 AND HOPYARD ROAD INTERCHANGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an agreement was entered into on January 11, 1983 <br />between the City of Pleasanton and the City of <br />Dublin regarding the installation of traffic <br />signals at Hopyard/Dougherty and at the HoDyard/I-580 <br />interchange; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the above improvements are part of the conditions <br />of approval for Hacienda Business Park, which will <br />be funded by Prudential and ultimately acquired by <br />the North Pleasanton Assessment District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />since the project is located within the Caltrans <br />right-of-way, a project report must be reviewed <br />and approved by Caltrans prior to the City applying <br />for an encroachment permit to construct the project; <br />and <br /> <br />WttEREAS <br /> <br />the last items needed for the project report are <br />Council's review of the project and the making of <br />the necessary environmental findings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating <br />no significant adverse effects on the environment, <br />a negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br />October 11, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on October 11, <br />1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />Council reviewed the recommendations of the Director <br />of Public Works and Utilites in his report dated <br />October 5, 1983; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes staff to pursue the approval of the <br /> Project Report for the installation of traffic <br /> signals at the 1-580 and Hopyard Road interchange <br /> by Caltrans, and, as soon as possible, after <br /> Caltrans approval, return with construction Dlans <br /> for City Council review and aDproval. <br /> <br /> <br />
